Alpenblick Farm

A respect for animals and natural food production practices is at the heart of the operation at Alpenblick Farm. For Robert and Petra, organic farming isn’t just a trend – it’s the way Robert was trained on his family’s farm in Switzerland. Today they embrace that approach on their farm in Ashton where they sell organic meat and cheese to local restaurants and direct to consumers. Livestock graze freely throughout the property and reproduce in their normal breeding cycles. Robert and Petra emphasize preventative health and natural healing when they can. They believe that healthy, happy animals produce a better product at the end of the day; a difference they say you can taste in the meat and cheese.

Robert and Petra recognize that the market for organic products is growing and their farm is in a perfect position to deliver on that demand. They believe their customers recognize the care they put into their products and trust them as a quality source of local food.

Arlee & Diane Sheets

We live on Diane's family farm just outside of Carleton Place. Most of the farm work is done with our 2 horses, Pearl and Babe. Our goal is to build a biologically sound farm using holistic methods that can be passed on to future generations.

Dunlop's Honey

My family have been beekeepers in Lanark Country for almost 200 years. I am the 5th generation of Dunlop's to keep bees. I extract my honey a number of times a year so I get different local flavours (rather than extracting once and blending all the different honey types).
